Front of House Services Apprenticeship Level 2 at Bedford College

Course description

This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge you will need to support your employment in the exciting hospitality industry. You will learn valuable valuable restaurant and bar skills, along with customer-focused skills and techniques. The skills and experience you will gain are highly sought after by bars and restaurants, making this an ideal way to progress your career and enhance your employment opportunities within the hospitality industry.

Course content

During this course you will cover a wide range of skills required in the front of house area of the hospitality industry, including food and beverage service, and customer service skills. The course will be divided into a number of study units, which will be selected to suit the specific job role and establishment that you are working in.

You will also study to achieve Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths, if required.

Entry requirements

To begin this course you will need to be employed full-time in a relevant job role.


You will be assessed via a combination of practical and written knowledge assessments.

Future opportunities

On successful completion of this course you will be well prepared to move on to further employment within the hospitality industry; you can also progress to a Hospitality Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, or to our Hospitality Supervision & Leadership Level 3 qualification.
