Pre-vocational 2 at Grŵp Llandrillo Menai
This course is aimed at learners with mild to moderate learning difficulties (MMLD) who have chosen a vocational goal and are demonstrating the personal and social skills necessary to cope with mainstream or ILS vocational provision at the end of the course. In most cases learners will be expected to complete the Pre-vocational 1 course first.
Students attend classes in small groups (in a maximum of 12) with a Tutor and Learning Support Assistants (LSAs). Each learner has an individual learning plan (ILP). Outside visits and guest speakers will be included to assist learning where relevant.
Applicants will need to attend a successful interview/taster session to make sure the course is right for them.
All places are subject to satisfactory interview.
A variety of assessment methods are used including observations. Assessments will be completed in class time.
After one year, you should progress on to:
- mainstream provision if appropriate
- other training opportunities if appropriate.

Depending on the campus, students may be able to access elements of the programme in both English and Welsh through some programme learning materials being made available bilingually. Details will be provided to you at interview.
