Music and Media Level 1 Diploma at Northbrook College Sussex
This course is for students at the start of their creative journey. It includes the basics of:
- Music (making your own music on a computer)
- Music Technology (recording in a music studio)
- Related Media Production (making music videos, websites and sound effects)
The main requirement is that you have a passion for music. Ideally you will already have achieved GCSE grade E or F in English and Maths. Exceptions can be made after a successful interview and reference.
If you have at least 2 GCSEs at grade D or above (including English), you may be able to start on one of our higher level courses instead.
After 1 year at Level 1 you can achieve a Laser Foundation Learning Level 1 Diploma in Music & Media. This means you can move on to a Level 2 course in Music Performance or Music Technology or to one of Northbrook’s other Level 2 courses in media, performing arts or art and design.
