Music Practitioners (Performance & Production) Rockschool Level 2 Diploma at Kidderminster College
This course provides learners, who for whatever reasons, are not quite ready for Level 3 Music Performance, Music Technology or DJ Production. Within one year, if learners are committed and persistent throughout the course they will acquire the various skills that will provide the necessary foundations to not only be accepted onto Level 3 music programmes, but also to hit the ground running with a large amount of skill and ability. Learners are given the choice to either specialise in Music Performance or Music Technology, creating a tailored learning pathway.

-Basic music theory & harmony
-Using a digital audio workstation
-Music sequencing and production
-Live sound exploration
-Listening to music
GCSE English and Maths at grades D-G or above or equivalent qualifications such as adult literacy and numeracy are also accepted.
Interview and an audition including an instrument of the learners choice/vocalists auditioning with backing tracks etc. A listening exercise alongside a short music theory test will also be a part of the interview process.
Completion of practical assignements and coursework.
Tours, trips, viisits and workshops (optional). Instruments and microphones, drumsticks and cymbals are essential.
