Animal Management Level 3 - Wildlife at Askham Bryan College
This course covers a wide range of animal topics with a focus on the natural world.
This pathway specialises in learning about animal health and well-being along with wildlife and their natural habitats. It has been designed especially for those learners with an interest in wildlife and ecology, whilst still developing skills to care for, handle and manage a variety of animals.
Level 3 Study Programmes:
4 GCSEs at grade 4 (old GCSE grade C) or above to include 2 from English, Maths and Science with at least a grade 3 (old GCSE grade D) in the remaining subject. Alternatively a suitable Level 2 vocational qualification (Merit or above) with English, Maths and Science at Level 2
Your timetable will include a mixture of practical work and classroom (theory) sessions. Vocational programmes are normally assessed through a variation of programme assignments, practical assessment and formal time constrained assessments/examinations.

Further study: Higher Education qualifications such as degrees or Higher National Diplomas in related subjects (including animal management, animal science, conservation, wildlife management or veterinary nursing).
Careers: Positions such as farm park wardens, work with the RSPB and WWF, game park wardens, wildlife rescue, conservation researchers, working with the National Trusts and National Parks.
