Film, TV & Animation (Media) Level 3 at Great Yarmouth College

Course description

You will be creating and producing for the world of TV, film and media in this exciting course. You will produce film dramas, animations, radio shows, music videos, visual FX, TV programmes and more. You will also gain an understanding of the planning side along with media theories and create links with your own production work.

Course content

You will complete 18 units over two years building portfolios of coursework and producing media products. In the second year you will complete individual projects, giving you the chance to experiment by producing your own films and other media products which are linked to your intended career or the university course of your choice.

Entry requirements

You need to have completed the OCR Level 2 in Film, TV and Animation course or have at least 4 GCSEs at grade A*-C ideally including Maths & English.


Students are assessed and supported throughout the two year course with regular reviews, formative and final assessment on each of the 18 units gaining a PASS, MERIT or DISTINCTION.

Future opportunities

Study a foundation degree here at UCS Great Yarmouth or go into employment or self-employment.
