MUSIC PRODUCTION & BUSINESS L3 at Big Creative Education

Course description

This course is designed for young people with a passion for music production and music technology. You will be taught by music professionals who will teach you a range of skills to develop you as a producer, writer and composer. You will learn different music production techniques, engineering, planning and delivering a music product. In a competitive industry where the UK has many successful music producers this course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to compete with the best in all genres of music.

Course content

During the course you will be taught by music professionals who will teach you a number of skills to develop you as a producer, writer and publisher. You will learn different music production techniques, using industry software. You will develop your sequencing and engineering skills focusing on planning and delivering a music product. Your creativity will be used to develop skills in sound creation and manipulation and using these for live sound techniques and DJ performances. All of this will be underpinned by learning about the music industry and how the business works and how you can compete and enter the industry showcasing your skills.

Entry requirements

Applicants must be between the ages of 16-18 on the 1st September 2015 – Prospective students will be offered places on a conditional basis until they receive their GCSE results.


No prior qualifications required
A commitment and passion for music, media, events or fashion


Applicants for L2 courses must have at least 5 GCSEs at D or below (or equivalent) including English


Applicants for L3 courses must have at least 5 GCSEs at C or above (or equivalent) including English C and Maths D

*Places will be awarded to learners who meet our course entrance criteria, are willing to learn and show the most potential.
