Government and Politics at Beverley Grammar School

Course description

Every part of every day is affected by politics. Waking up to BBC radio, putting on your prescription glasses, looking at the recommended daily amount of this vitamin and that mineral on your cereal packet, paying a concessionary fare to get to a state funded school. You have barely woken up and everything is Politics.

This A level gives you the knowledge to understand how government works and what ideas lie behind the laws we all have to obey. It will develop skills of research, analysis and evaluation as well as enabling you to learn to communicate coherent arguments based on your understanding.
