FA Level 1 and 2 Award in Coaching Football (QCF) at Bourne End Academy

Course description

Level 1 - This is 32 hours in Duration, managed by and experianced and fully qualified FA Tutor.
The course format includes six modules:
Introduction and Long term player development
Safegaurding Children
Emergency Aid
Evening 5
Final Assessment
There will be seven theory based exercises (including your final assessment) and once completed
successfully, will provide you with skills and experiance covering Player and Coach Development;
Football Club Administration; RESPECT (Online Task); Football for All; Laws of the Game; Planning
Delivery of a football session and Final Assessment- Practical Session Plan.

Level 2 - This is 75 hours in duration, guided by an experianced and fully qualified FA Tutor, the
course format is split between an initial training period of 6 full days, followed by planned coaching
session within a club. You will then return to your course group for training days arranged specifically
to give you an opportunity to share and discuss the coaching sessions you have been putting into
practice at your club and to help you prepare for you final assessment. The Level 2 course will include
theoretical (classroom) and practical (coaching delivery) elements.

Entry requirements

Candidates should aim for at least five GCSE Passes. This course has not to be taken alongside BTEC Sport.
