Business (Law) BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at Chelmsford College
The Business BTEC Level 3 Diploma and Applied Law Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma are designed specifically for those wanting to study Business and Law with a view to progress into one of these fields.
The course begins with the Subsidiary Diploma in Business, which is studied in the first two terms. Once completed, students study for the Diploma in Business and the Subsidiary Diploma in Applied Law.
Units studied include:
Year 1: Dispute solving in the Legal System, ICT in business and Developing teams in business.
Year 2: Understanding Law making, Recruitment and Selection in business, Development Planning for a career in business, Aspects of legal liability, Aspects of property offences and police powers, Understanding retailing, Unlawful homicide, Aspects of family law, Starting a small business.
Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C or above or a pass grade at a relevant Level 2 vocational course.
Specific Entry Requirements:
GCSE English or maths at grade C or above. It is preferable that either IT or Business Studies should have been studied at GCSE level.
The course is assessed through coursework and controlled assessments.
It will allow you to progress to degree courses in Business, Law and all related subjects. Students may also progress into employment in a career in Business, Law or related employment such as in the Financial Sector, Human Resources, Estate Agency, Health and Safety, Publishing, Accountancy, Property Management including employment leading to professional qualifications.
