Community Sports Leaders Award and Higher Sports Leaders Award at Therfield School

Course description

There are no formal examination to complete to obtain the Sports Leadership Awards. You will be expected to attend a range of practical and theoretical sessions; during which, you will detail your learning in a Log Book. These must be completed for both awards. For each award you will be required to complete set hours of voluntary leadership 10 hours for the CSLA and 30 hours for the HSLA, and your ability to lead a group session will be assessed.

Entry requirements

Sporting ability is not essential to benefit from either of the two course offered here. Applicants should, however, have an interest in sport and a commitment to leading others. The successful completion of the Community Sports Leaders Award acts as an entry route into Higher Sports Leader Award.
