Bricklaying Diploma Level 2 at Weston College

Course description

Units covered include carrying out safe working practices, information, quantities and communicating with others, building methods and construction technology, interpreting working drawings to set out masonry structures, building solid walling, isolated and attached piers and cavity walling forming masonry structures.

Entry requirements

It is desirable that you have a minimum of 4 GCSEs grade C-E or an industry relevant Level 1 qualification.


We will assess what you know about the job and your skills in a number of ways, including practical synoptic tests, assignments a portfolio of work and online multiple choice tests.

  • Trowel Occupations Intermediate Apprenticeship.
  • Employment in the construction industry as a bricklayer/improver/general builder.
