Course description

Personal and Social Development (PSD) qualifications offer imaginative ways of supporting young people in:

  • becoming confident individuals who are physically, emotionally and socially healthy
  • being responsible citizens who make a positive contribution to society and embrace change
  • managing risk together with their own wellbeing

as well as introducing them to new activities and personal challenges.

Entry requirements

  • working with others

  • dealing with problems

  • community action - take part in employer-related community projects

  • maths and English

  • attend employment-related workshops

  • work experience or voluntary placement


  • this course is primarily designed for learners with an EHCP

  • demonstrate the ability to work at entry level 2 or entry level 3

  • you are required to attend an interview
