Health and Social Care at The Brunts Academy
BTEC Level 3 focuses on particular aspects of employment within the Health and Social Care sector. The BTEC Level 3 Certificate is a qualification which can extend a learner’s programme of study and give vocational emphasis.
The Subsidiary Diploma is equivalent to one GCE A level and this is gained at the end of Year 13.
All units are assessed internally through assignments.
Students will have the opportunity to complete a work placement and use evidence to support completion of assignments.
This course is suitable for students who have a profile of 5 A*-C grades, with a minimum of a B grade in English.
No prior study of Health and Social Care at level 2 is required.
Students must be prepared to undertake a placement in a Health and Social Care setting.
The ability to complete independent research on placements is vital.
