Well trained Teaching Assistants play a vital role in schools to ensuring that students enjoy their learning in a safe and supportive environment. The qualification in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools provides an advanced understanding of the knowledge and skills required within a Teaching Assistant role. 
Apprenticeships are made up of a variety of components; we have listed below the mandatory components that are required for this programme:
 
  • NVQ Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (QCF)
  • Functional Skills in maths, English and ICT
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
  • Knowledge of Employment Rights and Responsibilities

 

Entry requirements

If you do not have A-C Grades in GCSE English, Maths and ICT we will support you to achieve Functional Skills during your Apprenticeship.
