Course description

What will I study on this course?

You will learn about the statutory, private and voluntary provision of care, relationships, the environment, promoting a child’s development, safeguarding children and reflecting on good practice within the sector. In Health and Social Care you will learn about public health, anatomy and physiology, psychology and sociology and many more topics.

This course is for students who wish to either apply to university or to work in a senior position in the health and social care sector.

What do I need?

5 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade C or above.

Future opportunities

What does it prepare me for?

Childminder, Health Visitor, Children’s Nurse, Play Therapist, School Nurse, Nursery Assistant, and many roles within the NHS. Also further study in health, social care or child care.
