Business and Administration Apprenticeship at Luton Borough Council
This apprenticeship trains you to play an important support role within the business organisation. Administrators handle the day-to-day tasks in an office and make sure things run smoothly. This sort of work requires a strong sense of responsibility, accuracy and attention to detail.
The successful applicants will work as part of a team in the office where you will undertake a range of duties for example:
-General post duties including dealing with incoming and outgoing post and Special Delivery
-Answer incoming telephone calls from members of the public and other organisations, on occasions this will include face to face contact
-Photocopying, filling, faxing and scanning
-Ensure records are kept up-to-date
-Working with Microsoft Excel for the purpose of maintaining, checking and updating data on spreadsheets
-With training, inputting and maintaining data on relevant database
-Production of letters
-Attending meetings, taking minutes and typing them up
-Preparing packs of information to be sent out
-General word processing and document production, including proof reading and formatting
-Manage the administration of meetings (to include room booking and sending out invitations)
