Land Based Studies Access to HE at Abingdon and Witney College

Course description

This programme consists of core units in Science, Business, HE Study Skills and Land Based Skills which are contextualised to your area of interest.

Course content

Option units are added which create the pathways to Equine Studies, Animal Science or Agriculture. The course gives you the academic skills to be able to apply to University to study your chosen land based subject at degree level. Students are advised to check individual University entry requirements.

Entry requirements

Applicants must have GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above, however if you only have one of these you must take the other GCSE as an evening class alongside the course. You must be over 19, have few formal qualifications but want to go on to study a higher education land based course.

The fees shown below are those charged in 2015/16 and may be subject to increase for 2016/17. Don't forget that we have bursaries and loans available to help you with fees - call 01235 216298 for more information. For some courses clothing, equipment and registration fees may apply and will be payable to external companies. Only trips necessary to the successful completion of your course (compulsory trips) will be listed below, other trips and visits may be offered as part of your programme of study, these will be optional and fees will be collected throughout the duration of the course.
