Introducing Caring for Children and Young People Level 2 Certificate at Northumberland College
You will study topics such as safeguarding welfare, planning a health diet, craft activities with children and undertake a block placement where you will gain valuable work experience with children and young people developing communication and team work Ideal to support you developing an understanding of work with children or young people and to build the skills necessary for careers in care and education
You should have two GCSEs at grade D, or a relevant Level 1 qualification and Functional Skills in English at Entry Level 3, plus interpersonal skills and motivation to work in a caring or supportive role with children and young people DBS clearance and references required
You could progress to a full, specialised Level 2 course in childhood Studies or Health and Social Care
