Course description

You will complete a total of 12 Units equivalent to GCSE, you will also study GCSE English & Maths during the one year of the course. The course is vocational in nature and you will be assessed through both written (academic) and practical (vocational) assignments. Knowledge and understanding and the application of work-related skills, are continually assessed in a variety of ways.

Entry requirements

You should have a real interest in sport and have been keen enough to be involved in school teams, sports clubs, Duke of Edinburgh awards, scouts/cadets. You should have a minimum of 2 GCSEs at grade D or above, but it is advisable that you have grade C in at least two subjects preferably PE and/or Maths, English, Science - particularly if progression to a Level 3 course is a consideration for the future.

Financial information

A contribution towards educational visits may be requested. Students must be prepared to supply all of their personal sports clothing and equipment. A kit list will be supplied prior to the start of the course.
