*Photography GCEAS/A2 at President Kennedy School
“The ability to capture a unique moment in time is a precious skill. It is not a gift but a trained art which needs nurturing in order to thrive and achieve creative clarity”.
The Photography curriculum is a new, exciting and expanding subject that is available to our KS5 students. The course gives students the opportunity to use digital cameras and scanners, explore state-of-the art IT software and manipulate images digitally. Students will be developing their skills and understanding to produce their own ideas and creative theme based photos. Photography and technology are growing constantly with many job opportunities leading to professional photography for magazines, newspapers, fashion, forensics, medical, design and journalism. It is a valuable skill useful in other visual arts and an exciting interest that can be carried on in later life.
