Performing Arts Musical Theatre Level 3 UAL (University of the Arts London) at Westminster Kingsway College
What will I study?
This course will develop your musical theatre performance skills through Singing, Acting, Ballet and Jazz classes and performances both in and outside of the College. The first year of the course will focus on strengthening your technique and showcasing your talents. The second year of the course will focus on two performances; a pantomime and a full length musical. You will also have the opportunity to join our touring company and gain valuable experience working as part of a company.
Although the emphasis is on practical assignments, you will need to complete written assessments in the form of evaluative log books and rehearsal diaries and contextual and business studies.
You will be working on industry projects where some students will engage with external clients and companies, developing your experience in the world of work and performance.
Four GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and a Music/Performing Arts subject, or an equivalent Level 2 qualification at grade Merit or above with Functional Skills Maths and English at Level 2 and a good reference. If you do not already have qualifications in English and Maths you will need to do a short test.
