Working in Freight Management Logistics Open Awards Diploma Level 2 at Hugh Baird College

Course description

This course is appropriate for those who have achieved at Level 1 within the same suite of qualifications or wish to undertake a career in freight management. This course will provide the you with a detailed understanding of daily operations within the freight forwarding industry.
 
The programme also includes studying Math’s and English functional skills, or towards GCSE grade A-C if you do not already have these grades.

  • Managing own performance in a business environment

Entry requirements

In order to qualify for this course, you will need:

  • 4 GCSEs at grades E or above including maths & English

Entry to all courses are subject to a successful interview, a satisfactory reference from your school or employer and evidence that you will be a committed student

      The Merseyrail Bootle Oriel Road station is only a two minute walk from the College campus. This station is on the Northern Line and offers easy access to the College from Liverpool, Crosby, Formby, Southport and other areas.

      The closest motorway junctions are the M58 1a/ M57 Junction 7 – 3.7 miles (6km). Then follow the A59 towards Liverpool for approximately ten minutes, turning right onto the A5058 at the first roundabout, which leads onto Balliol Road.
