Course description

This course is offered by ‘Go Live’. Go-live is a programme of learning that allows students to study for a vocational qualification. Two days each week you will be out of school with a training provider and the remaining days will be in school working on other projects. The programme is for students aged 16-19.

Course content

This course offers students excellent basic training in the skills required to work in the retail industry. The Certificate of Retail Customer Services qualification is ideal for students who want to go into customer focussed retail employment or study for further retail or customer service qualifications. The training covers topics such as developing your own retail customer service skills, contributing to the delivery of customer service standards and delivering reliable customer service. You will learn how to resolve customer service problems and about supporting customer service improvements.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry qualifications. All students are required to attend an interview prior to being accepted onto the course and will need to carry out a basic skills assessment. What we are looking for are enthusiastic students who genuinely want to improve themselves. Academic ability although important to all courses is secondary to commitment and a willingness to work hard. This is a course that values practical skills and the ability to work with others in school and at an external training provider. There are no formal entry qualifications.
