Health & Social Care BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at Harlow College

Course description

This course offers the first steps into your chosen career in health and social care and is an important stepping stone towards university entrance or employment. Health and social care is a growth sector and there is a need for more staff to care for those in our society who are unwell or vulnerable. There is also a need for highly trained personnel to care for our aging population.

Course content

The course is assignment based, with a minimum of 100 hour’s work experience. If you only need to do one GCSE resit you will also do half a day a week volunteering, which will enhance your employability or university application on completion of the programme.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at grade C or above including Maths and English. Or a Merit at Level 2 Diploma. DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service).
