National Award in Sport at Halewood Academy

Course description

A BTEC National Award is a practical, work related course. Students learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. Students focus on a particular subject area and develop a range of specialist skills and knowledge.

The course provides a good basis for any student wishing to pursue a career in any form of leisure or recreational field, as well as in the areas of teaching, sports development or physiotherapy. Additionally, students wishing to expand their knowledge of physical activity would benefit from studying this course. The qualification is equivalent to one A level and has full university entrance recognition.

Grade C in GCSE English
