Learn how to renew the maintenance of a variety things in the work place and build up a good set of transferrable skills.
The construction industry is varied and a wide range of specialist skills are required to enable builders to interpret architectural drawings and bring these into reality; whether its houses or hospitals, garages or grand designs. You will learn various practical skills and techniques that will equip you with the foundations for a career in this industry. Whether you are working for a large national organisation or a small local company, few jobs will be the same and will vary from development of new buildings, extensions and conversions to the maintenance and restoration of listed buildings.

You will attend College one day per week, plus in some cases occasional periods of block release. Periodically an assessor will visit you in the workplace to carry out on-site assessments. You will prepare work based evidence and be assessed across a range of activities to demonstrate the development of your skills and knowledge.
