Ready for Employment Foundation Learning at Warwickshire College Group
The course will enable you to develop specific work skills together with personal and social skills necessary for the workplace. Part of the course will include participation in an extended work placement and you will also have the opportunity to improve your functional skills. Assessment includes completion of a City and Guilds programme of study and successful attendance at a work placement.

Minimum of some achievement at Entry level 3 and/or significant work experience. Students should have a Learning Disability Assessment, Statement of Special Educational Needs or Education Health and Care Plan.
You will be asked to attend an interview and be able to provide evidence of previous work, work experience placement or voluntary work, together with a positive evaluation or reference from your tutor or employer. You will need to be able to commit to attending a work placement for 1 – 2 days per week, including organising your own travel to and from the placement.
Method(s) Of Study Practical and classroom based activities and work experience placement
Method of Assessment Continuous assessment, completion of City and Guilds units, portfolio development and attendance at a work placement. Assessment for Maths and English under examination conditions will also take place. Special arrangements for exams can be requested.
You may progress into employment or further training.
