Mathematics - Applied Mathematics at Ysgol Gyfun Dyffryn Teifi

Course description

The use of arithmetic and the display of information by means of graphs are everyday commonplaces : these are the elementary aspects of mathematics. However, advanced mathematics is also widely used, e.g., Voyager’s journey to the planets could not have been calculated without using the mathematics of differential equations; and in ecology, mathematics is used when studying the laws of population change. In fact, mathematics is of central importance in many fields.
