Course description

Are you the next Vivienne Westwood or Jimmy Choo? This course is designed for young people with a passion for clothes, design, fabrics and style. Learn about the workings of the Fashion industry and discover what makes this international multi billion pound industry work so well. Our industry professional tutors will teach you valuable design processes using the same computer technology as the top fashion houses and introduce you to the techniques involved in the creation of fashion clothing.

  • Communication through Art and Design
  • Contextual Influences in Art and Design
  • Material, Process and Techniques in Art and Design
  • Pattern Construction for Fashion and Clothing
  • Production Techniques for Fashion and Clothing
  • Developing Costume Design Skill
  • Accessory Production

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at grade C or above (including English) or equivalent 

Assessment

All of our courses are vocational which means they are designed to compliment learners with a visual and kinaesthetic learning style. 

As a result, you will be assessed via a range of both practical and written assignments.

Future opportunities

If you are keen to move into employment but wish to continue training in the creative industries and have five GCSEs at grade C or above (including English and Maths), then you can progress onto one of our BCE Apprenticeship programmes 

Those of you who wish to continue your learning in an education environment, have the option to progress into Higher Education either at a University or studying for a HNC/HND programme. 

If you are not keen on continuing to study further, you can progress directly into employment.
