Sport & Exercise Sciences BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at Chelmsford College

Course description

Sport and Exercise Science examines sports performance from a number of different perspectives. From the basis of human performance in anatomy and exercise physiology to investigating the mind of performers in sports psychology and sports coaching. Throughout the course learners will engage in theoretical and practical study covering 18 units across two years.

Entry requirements

A minimum of 4 GCSEs grade C or above or a pass grade at a relevant Level 2 vocational course.

Assessment

Learners are assessed throughout the course through a variety of activities including assignment work, presentations, exams and practical activities.

Financial information

First Year: Uniform approx £80

Future opportunities

Sports related courses at degree or HNC/HND level or potential employment in the sport sector.

      The campus also houses a Learning Centre, Skills Development Centre, Assessment Centre, Tutorial Centre, a Copyshop and Refectory. Situated on the grounds of this campus are Dovedale Nursery and Dovedale Sports Centre.
