Course description

The VTCT Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing (QCF) is a job ready qualification based on National Occupational Standards for Hairdressing and Barbering. This qualification will supplement the knowledge, understanding and skills learned at Level 2 and is focussed on producing highly proficient, occupationally competent professional hairdressers. This qualification is most suited for learners wishing to advance in their profession or to become salon manager and/or owners.

Structure Summary:

The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing (QCF) consists of a minimum of 58 credits and a minimum of 9 units. Each candidate must complete the 4 mandatory units and a minimum of 5 optional units. The total number of credits for the optional units selected must be at least 37 credits. Option 1 - All five optional units can be chosen from optional group A. Option 2 - Only one optional unit may be chosen from optional group B, the other optional units must be chosen from optional group A.

Entry requirements

The applicant must have completed their Level 2 Hairdressing program, attended a one to one interview with our recruitment officer and be in a secure placement before signing on program

Assessment

You will be assessed on your competance in practical through your workplace and assessments within Oracle.

Your knowledge and understanding is assessed through written tests, oral questions and project work.
