Geography at St George's Catholic School
Geography is a broad based subject, which develops a wide range of skills and as a result is highly valued by all courses at university. It combines well with both arts and science subjects through studying both human and physical geography.
We study the AQA Geography syllabus which focuses in the first year, on topics such as Population Change, River Processes and Flood Management, Health Geography and Coastal Environments.
In the second year you will develop a synoptic understanding of geography through the study of World Cities, Plate Tectonics and Development and Globalisation. Throughout the two years you will have the opportunity to develop your research skills by taking part in numerous fieldtrips throughout the UK.
