Course description

What will I learn?

... how to support indivuduals in a health and social care environment, understand the principles of health and social care, support the emotional and physical wellbeing of residents, deliver activities and implement personal care plans. You will also improve your Maths and English as well as your knowledge about working in health and social care. You can adapt your learning to meet your residents and what you do in your job.

Entry requirements

it is flexible to meet your individual needs. Your learning plan allows you to learn at your own pace. An Apprenticeship takes around a year, but it can be flexible to fit in around your busy life, holidays and commitments.

Assessment

you collect evidence to prove you can prove comeptency in a health and social care evniroment in your E-portfolio. You will take bite size online tests for your Maths, English and ICT. Your knowledge is assessed by online multiple choice tests and through your E-portfolio.

Future opportunities

you can do the next level - an Advanced Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care, or choose to develop your skills by undertaking continued professional development courses or specialise in areas such as Dementia or Special Educational Needs. You can carry on earning money and get more qualifications, keeping your options open.
