Course description

**DISTANCE LEARNING COURSE**

 

A basic understanding of the laws of the UK is incredibly useful in all walks of life. Our home study GCSE will introduce you to the underlying principles that govern UK law, and how they affect individuals, groups and institutions. If you want to study law at A level or as a degree, this course will serve as an excellent knowledge base on which to build your understanding. Even if you have no desire to further your studies, this distance learning GCSE will make you more aware of your rights and responsibilities as a UK citizen and provide you with information that could protect you in a range of situations.

 

You should allow for between 120 and 150 hours' study time, plus additional time for completing assignments. You will have tutor support for a period of up to 18 months from the date of enrolment.

Assessment

This course follows specification 4160 from the awarding organisation AQA. Full details of the specification can be obtained from AQA's website.

Two exams: 1hr30m (50% of marks) and 1hr30m (50% of marks)
Sixteen assignments
No coursework
All exams must be taken in the same session

For enrolments in the UK there are no additional postage and packing charges. For enrolments outside of the UK the following postage and packing charges apply:

  • EU – £75 for the first course and £40 for second and subsequent courses
  • Rest of the world – £130 for the first course and £70 for second and subsequent courses
