Intermediate Apprenticeship 
  • AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting
  • Functional Skills Maths Level 1
  • Functional Skills English Level 1
Length of the course - 12 months approximately
 
What you’ll be doing
 
Dealing with sales invoices, income, receipts and payments. On a daily basis you will undertake various duties depending on your role and company including:
  • Arranging purchase orders
  • Preparing statements showing income and payments
  • Completing VAT returns
  • Preparing wages and managing claims for expenses
  • Helping to prepare annual accounts
  • Using computerised accounting systems and maintaining accurate records
  • providing administrative support to Accountants.

Course content

  • AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting

Entry requirements

To be eligible for this qualification, you need to be employed in an Accounts position for at least 30 hours per week.

Financial information

Aged 16-18
Fully funded

Aged 19 and over
Total People require employers to make a contribution towards the cost for all learners aged 24 years and over, embarking on an Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship programme.

Future opportunities

On completion of this Apprenticeship, you may wish to progress onto further Accountancy qualifications, or depending on your job role Total People offer Apprenticeships in Team Leading and Management
