Design and Technology A Level at The Campion School

Course description

The Specification structure has been designed to provide considerable flexibility in course design. It covers the Core Skills defined by the examining board with TWO modules required in the lower 6th and a further Two further modules for the Upper 6th. They are as follows: A/S UNITS F521: Advanced Innovation Challenge F522: Product Study A2 UNITS F523: Design, Make and Evaluate F524: Product Design: Component 1 Skills and Commitment This course is designed to provide students with a balanced and coherent study of all elements of Design and Technology. Students have the opportunity to study, propose and realise prototype solutions to designing and making situations closely linked to the real world of product/system manufacture.

Future opportunities

Career prospects are excellent and it has opened doors to computer programming, electrical engineering, Product Design, Industrial design, Architecture and Formula 1.
