Mathematics A Level *FEES PAYABLE* at Felsted School

Course description

Mathematics is of interest in and of
itself. Rigorous proof for example is
only to be found within Mathematics.
Concepts such as infinity can evoke a
sense of awe and wonder. Mathematics
also has applications in the Natural
Sciences, the financial world and in
many other areas.

Studying Mathematics helps develop
powers of logical reasoning, problemsolving
skills and resilience. Modules
C1-4 focus exclusively on Pure
Mathematics and develop the students’
ability to work logically and
methodically through complex
problems.

The applied modules focus
on the application of Mathematics to
the real world in the use of statistics,
algorithms and the motion of bodies.
