Textiles Technology A Level at Imberhorne School

Course description

This is a progression from the GCSE Textiles Technology course. You will develop your practical textile skills and broaden your knowledge of textile construction and decorative fabric manipulation skills, techniques and processes, including industrial application. The practical coursework will include the design and manufacture of a garment and a creative textiles item, together with an Interiors project.

Entry requirements

To study this subject you will need a minimum of five GCSE subjects at Grade A‐C, to include English, Maths, Science and Textiles technology. Students who have not studied Textiles Technology at GCSE must have achieved a minimum 5 gradeA‐C at GCSE, to include English, Maths, Science and entry will be subject to an interview with a member of the Textiles Technology Department.
