Course content

     Coursework. A coursework folder must consist of:Drama pre-1914 (Shakespeare*)Prose pre-1914*Drama post 1914 (probably either `An Inspector Calls` JB Priestley of `The Crucible` Arthur Miller).  Please note Responses to tasks marked * can be used as `cross-over pieces for both English and English Literature, so that the same pieces of coursework may be used for each subject.In total, then, a joint submission of coursework for both English and English Literature will comprise five responses:1. * Shakespeare = En2 and pre-1914 drama2. * Prose Study = En2 and pre-1914 prose3.    Media4.    Original Writing5.    Post 1914 Drama

Assessment

  The Scheme of Assessment comprises two components:         Written paper [70%]        Coursework [30%] Written Paper (1hr 45mins)Section A [30%]: one question based on post 1914 prose.There will be achoice of questions.Section B [40%]: one question based on pre- and post- 1914 poetry from the Anthology.There will be a choice of questions.
