Economics A Level at Hailsham Community College

Course description

A Level Economics

The banking crisis… The economic downturn… both are current economic issues that you may have heard about recently in the news, or heard being discussed by politicians. Even if you are unsure what these terms mean you may have become aware of their impact upon you. Maybe you have less pocket money than usual, or perhaps you have found it difficult to get your first job. Economics is a subject that affects the entire world around us, the countries, cities, towns, villages, businesses, families and people like you and me, within it. Economics is about choice, it is the study of how we choose to use the resources that are available to us. It attempts to solve the problem of having scarce resources to meet unlimited wants.
