Philosophy and Ethics at Plume College
This course is a study of the Philosophy of Religion and Religious Ethics. Within Philosophy lessons students will explore and evaluate the thoughts of influential philosophers including Aristotle, St Thomas Aquinas and David Hume. They will be asked to question the relationship between science and religion, and examine various arguments for the existence of God. Religious Ethics involves an investigation into moral decision making and the notion of free will, with an in depth study of the ethical issues surrounding abortion and euthanasia.
GCSE grade B in English or grade C in English and a B in Religious Education GCSE.
