Interior Systems (Dryline Finisher) NVQ 2 Certificate at Northumberland College

Course description

This course is for anyone aged 19 or over who has a minimum of two years site experience within the construction industry.

Course content

You will study a range of NVQ units including conforming to general health, safety and welfare, conforming to efficient working practices, moving, handling and storing resources, finishing dry lining joints. All units will be covered in the workplace.

Entry requirements

You need to have two years site experience within the construction industry and be at least 19 years old to join this course, but no formal qualifications are required.


You will be assessed in your workplace against the national occupational standards for your trade.

Future opportunities

After successfully completing the course you will need to pass the CSkills Health and Safety Test in order to apply for a CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) which would allow you to operate in this capacity on site. Your assessor will be able to advise you on other progression routes up to level 3, either in your trade or occupational works supervision.
