Plastering Level 1 Diploma at Highbury College

Course description

This programme is designed for those students who wish to pursue a career in plastering and who are not currently working in the industry.

Course content

The programme includes practical and theory elements covering topics such as knowing how to carry out safe working practices, knowledge of building methods and construction technology and knowing how to prepare background surfaces and plaster materials.

Entry requirements

As well as passing an aptitude test you will also need 4 GCSE grades A*-E, which must include maths and English.

Assessment

To gain the Diploma, students must be successful in all units and the synoptic practical assignment. They must also pass the GOLA online test as well as a separate knowledge test.

Future opportunities

On completion of all aspects of Level 1, you have the opportunity to progress onto the Level 2 Diploma programme.
