Philosophy at James Calvert Spence College

Course description

This course provides students with the tools to address some of the most profound questions on life,existence, morality and God. Students will gain knowledge of key ethical and philosophical thinkers during the course and will have the opportunity to study amongst other things, ancient Greek philosophy, arguments for the existence of God, ethical theory and applied ethics including medical ethics, environmental and business ethics. Students will also have the opportunity to develop skills in analysis, evaluation, enquiry and reasoning amongst others.

Entry requirements

Five GCSE subject passes grade A* - C to include either English or maths.
