Level 2 Childcare - Full time at E Quality Training Ltd

Course description

The course is made up of a series of units which are relevant to the sector. The content of each unit has been carefully selected to reflect the latest developments and approaches within the early year’s sector.  Child Development is common to all levels of the qualification and provides underpinning knowledge of theory and stages of development of children.  

These qualifications provide opportunities for students to progress to either academic or more specialised vocational pathways or supports progress into employment.

 

 

Course content

Students will attend the centre of their choice, closest to home where both practical aspects and underpinning knowledge of CYPW are taught using a variety of teaching methods:
 
•  Class-based sessions
•  Role-play
•  Demonstration
•  Professional Discussions
 
Students will gain sector experience from attending their work placement.

 

Entry requirements

Ideally, students must have complete the Level 1 Caring for Children or Childcare course within School during their GCSE's.

Student who haven't complete a Childcare course would need GCSE grade's A-C in English, Maths and ICT or equivalent.

 

Financial information

Students will receive an attendance bonus for attending your training days and work placement and a qualification bonus.  Travel expenses are also covered for attending EQT and work placement.

If you are 16-19, then your course is fully-funded.

Future opportunities

These qualifications provide opportunities for students to progress to either academic or more specialised vocational pathways or supports progress into employment. Students can also progress onto our Level 3 apprenticeship after achieving this qualification.
