Business & Administration Level 3 Diploma at Furness College
Develop your e-Business skills by studying qualifications which are designed to prepare learners for employment in this dynamic and exciting sector. Through specialist tutors, guest speakers, workplace visits and 2 weeks relevant work placement, you will learn to ‘walk in the shoes’ of the owners and managers of typical e-Businesses.
Units studied include: producing complex business documents, Understanding function and roles within business organisations, Support business meetings, Working in business teams and text processing skills which includes mailmerge.
Every full-time course will include a real experience of work.
Maths and English form part of this course and will be assessed at the relevant levels.
Five GCSEs at grade C or above, (including English, maths, science or ICT) or other equivalent qualifications. You will be required to attend an interview.
The assessment is designed to reward students for what they can do as well as what they know. You will be internally assessed through assignments set and marked by your lecturers and externally moderated by OCR. These assignments may be set assignments, projects or case study work. Your coursework contains all the evidence collected as you work through the units. There will also be externally set exams to test the Text Processing Skills.
Stationery, (folders, pens etc)
Students can progress on to the Level 4 Diploma in Administration, an Apprenticeship in Business Administration or employment in administration in local organisations and businesses. Progression is based on aptitude and a successful interview.
