History - AS/A2 Level at Northampton College

Course description

Modern History at Northampton College will allow students to develop a critical understanding of how past events have shaped the world that we live in today by analysing economic, political and social change in the development of the United States and Britain in the first year while in the second year students focus on the development of enlightened thinking and move away from superstition by looking at the history of witchcraft in 15th-17th century Europe and America.

Course content

This is part of the full-time A Level programme but students can enrol as part-time infil student.

Entry requirements

GCSE English Language B or above and GCSE History B or above, if not taken then a B in Geography or a full Religious Studies GCSE

Exam and coursework.
