Music Performance and Production UAL Diploma Level 2 at Bradford College

Course description

The Level 2  Diploma in Music Performance and Production qualification is for those students who wish to explore and extend their interest in music performance and/or music production or a related subject through a full-time immersive learning experience.

The course will appeal to anyone wishing to progress towards an identified career in the creative industries such as performance, songwriter and producer using these qualifications as a starting point.


Course content

You will be introduced to a range of activities such as composition, listening skills, band rehearsal techniques and the delivery of a music performance and production. There is also an opportunity to research the history and context of music performance and production and use it to inform practice.

The courses will enable you to develop the underpinning skills, knowledge and understanding that support all music performance and production activity.

The Final Major Project which takes place at the end of the Level 2 Diploma course will allow you to demonstrate the learning that has taken place through completion of the other units.

On completion of the Level 2 Diploma you will be in a position to progress to Level 3 qualifications or directly into entry-level roles in the creative industries.


Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at a minimum of Grade D including English and Mathematics and one in a related subject.

You should have instrumental ability at Grade 3.

You should be aged 16+.

For the Diploma level course, you must have successfully completed the Award level.
