GCSE Design and Technology: Textiles at Chase Terrace Technology College
The key to choosing the D&T subject that suits you best is as follows: Textiles - an ability to work with textiles in a variety fo contexts. An interest in fashion and a good eye for shape and colour. A desire to develop fashion design skills using a variety of fabrics and to work with equipment such as computerised sewing machines. A willingness to explore a range of decorative techniques.
You could take this course to prepare for advanced level courses such as an A/AS Level in Design and Technology or you may need to strengthen your grades by completing a foundation or intermediate vocational qualification. You could also go straight into employment and do further training or part time study with the support of your employer.
